Before You Arrive: Helpful Information for Attendees

We look forward to seeing you this Friday, November 3, 2023, for the 45th Annual National Golden Spur Award Honors as we celebrate the American rancher and those continuing the incredible ranching story.

Location: Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts & Sciences 1300 Mac Davis Lane, Lubbock The entrance for this event is on the south side of the building. Schedule:

  • 5:30pm – RECEPTION - Cattleman’s Club – Level 1

  • 7:00pm – AWARDS SHOW & PERFORMANCE - Helen DeVitt Jones Theater

Parking: Complimentary valet parking is offered on the west side of the venue and it is recommended for ease of access. General parking is available south of the venue.


Consider arriving early for best parking. Lubbock's First Friday Art Trail will also be happening in the area. Doors will open at 5 pm for early arrivals.

Attire:

Attire is “dressy Western” or semi-formal. Boots and hats always in fashion.

Some Notes from the Venue:

The Buddy Holly Hall requires clear bags and/or small purses for all events.

Approved Bags:

Clear bags up to size 12″ x 12″ x 6″

1 Gallon Plastic Storage Bag

Small clutches (clear or non-clear) may be up to 4.5″ x 6.5″

There will be security scanners due to the level of security required for this event. Please do not bring weapons of any type (including pocket knives), cameras, tablets and audio/visual recording devices, selfie sticks, tripods & monopods. As a courtesy, do not take cell phone photos or videos.


Please note: If you purchased tickets directly through Buddy Holly Hall and selected print at home or mobile delivery method at checkout, your tickets are emailed to you before the event.
